I believe technology is a powerful tool in education. As an educator I strive to make learning meaningful and for it to go beyond the four walls of my classroom. Technology is a powerful way to do this. I love for my students to collaborate with other students and experts in their areas of interest. We do this through Voicethread, Twitter (my account), blogs, Youtube (the schools account), Scratch coding and more.  One of the most exciting ways to utilize technology is to give students an opportunity to create. Below is a sampling of examples of technology my students have used in creation. I will post videos soon.
  • Scratch- intro coding projects
  • Photoshop-used in many formats for projects they are working on
  • Windows Movie Maker- to create Persuasive commercials and in the Exhibition
  • Google Sketchup- in Geometry lessons and to create a design of bicycle parking which the school later used
  • Movie Maker- for stop motion animation
  • Google sites-to create their own website for the Exhibition
  • Photostory and Voicethread- to publish poems
  • Audacity-to input sound into projects
